Why did you join TurboPass?
I wanted to make a positive impact on the auto finance industry, which is where I’ve spent my whole career. I co-founded TurboPass with my brother, Mike, because I believe consumers, dealers, and lenders were in need of the solution we’re offering. Consumers can save time in the car buying process, dealers can have more confidence at the time of delivery and lenders can make better decisions.
What’s the most important thing TurboPass accomplishes?
Our software gives what everyone wants inside of a verification process. In seconds, TurboPass has sellers and lenders on the same page as it relates to a consumer's ability to pay, and the consumer is able to do this honestly. What’s most important with TurboPass is that businesses can operate in a context of trust resulting in consumers getting a car or apartment regardless of their credit profile.
Tell us about trends you’re seeing in the verifications space?
I believe that verifications are headed to a more consumer-permission and consumer-controlled process. This is a huge change from years past when consumers had no idea how their data was being used. We’re proud to be a leader making this positive change for consumers.
How did past roles prepare you for this position?
Early in my career, I worked for auto lenders as a collector, underwriter, and branch manager. I later moved into auto sales and finance and worked for franchise and independent auto dealers. In every role, there were big pain points related to verifying the consumer's ability to pay. Having played a role in all those areas has given me the ability to provide the industry with relevant solutions to their most common daily challenges.
What feedback do you get most from dealers?
Dealers say that TurboPass allows them to give their customers a more professional and streamlined buying experience. Another kind of feedback that I hear a lot is that TurboPass has improved their relationships with their lender partners.
What excites you most about TurboPass’ future?
Expanding and building new partnerships with industry leaders and companies that I admire is inspiring to me and keeps me excited about the future. It’s my personal mission that TurboPass becomes a household name for the automotive industry.
